Our range
We currently stock four different types of hedging at different stages of development. Our Copper Beech and Common privet is not yet at a stage suitable for sale but should be ready late 2011.
Green Beech (Fagus sylvatica) |

Beech hedging turns a beautiful bright green hedge in spring and summer. In the autumn and winter the medium sized leaves stay on the hedge, but they dry out and turn a fabulous copper colour.
Beech hedging can be striking when trimmed to the classic shape but can be used as a semi evergreen when mixed with native plants.
Green Beech can grow to 2 mtrs high but can also be kept as a low 1 m hedge. Suitable for free draining soil rather than wet, clay soil.
Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) |

Hornbeam hedging is a very popular native hedge with similar characteristics to Beech. Both plants retain their leaves in winter, which are copper coloured. Hornbeam is well suited to wetter soils.
